From living in New York and working at The Huffington Post, to moving to Mumbai and starting a media and communications company, Marissa Bronfman’s pathway to entrepreneurship has been shaped by a global perspective and economy.
Today, Marissa runs two organizations in Toronto as the Founder and CEO at Shot Of Gold, a social impact business that offers turmeric blend products that help people incorporate turmeric into their daily food and drink, while giving a portion of sales back to girls in India. She is also the Founder and CEO of We Are Women, a digital initiative empowering Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+ and Women of Color in the food and beverage industry in Canada through grant and mentorship opportunities.
We had a chance to chat with Marissa about the mindset of an entrepreneur, what to do when an order of 30,000 units are ruined, and how to create enthusiasm throughout an organization.
